Well, that’s January over! 🌟 I wonder how many of us kept our new year resolutions or managed the Dry January Challenge—I know I didn’t! Ah well, maybe next year. As we wave goodbye to the first month of the year, we’re stepping into February—the month of love, connection, and new beginnings. ❤️ We’ve got plenty to look forward to, and it all kicks off with our New What’s On release. Discover what’s coming up for February, March, and beyond, and don’t forget to pop by our Tuesday meetings to secure your spot at your favourite events. We can’t wait to see you there!
Don't forget, if you are going on the Mini Break to Teruel and Cuenca, the balance is payable BEFORE 1st March. Yolanda will write to all who are going with payment information by email.

WHAT'S GONE - January
🍽️ Boys Night Out A smaller turnout this month — but with shockingly bad weather and Three Kings Night, that was hardly a surprise! Those who braved it, though, had a cracking evening with plenty of laughs and good company. Sometimes smaller groups make for the best nights, however we already have 8 booked for February so let Dave Pryor know if you want to be added to the group.

FEBRUARY
All the regular events and...
🚌 Thirty-six Companions members and friends enjoyed a fantastic shopping trip to La Zenia. The weather behaved (almost), the shops didn’t disappoint, and — most importantly — everyone arrived and returned safely. There’s one thing Companions are very good at… being in the right place at the right time 😉
🍽️ A brilliant start to our 2026 evening dinners! A full house of 24 Companions came together at La Rive for the La Cena del Mes to enjoy great food, great value and even better company. A thoroughly enjoyable evening — and we’re already looking forward to our next La Cena del Mes at Bohemia.
🍽️ Our very first Sunday Lunch Club was a sell out success, with 18 Companions meeting at the Pineapple Bar in Albir. With a choice of beef, gammon or chicken, the lunch was delicious and excellent value — no one went home hungry!
Don’t forget, the next lunch is on 1st March at Champions Bar.
👣 Walking with Wendy – a brand new event for 2026!
Well the first one turned into a solo adventure, which worked out just as well — there was a motorbike race roaring through the woods, so our planned route wouldn’t have been very peaceful anyway! 🏍️🌲
I’m out walking my dogs most days, so if you fancy joining me another time, just say the word and we can make a plan. It would be lovely to have some company! 🚶♀️🐶✨

Coach leaves at 10am, returns for approx. 5.30pm. (Non Companions members price €55. Bookings being taken from 3rd March - see Ros or Elaine.

Visit Teruel and Cuenca, staying at 4* hotels close to the old towns, on half board basis. €395 pp sharing a twin room, €495 single room. This Mini Break includes 2 boat trips : St Josef caves and a cruise along the Júcar river at Cofrentes. Balance due by 1st March.
