Don’t miss this very special MEMBERS ONLY event on 17th March π
We’re delighted to welcome Jenny Wensing from Age in Spain to join us for an informative and reassuring talk about the wide range of help and support available right here in Spain.
Have you ever wondered:
Who could I turn to if I needed help in the future?
Where can I get guidance if I’m caring for a loved one?
What support is available for a neighbour or friend who may be struggling?
Whether you’re currently caring for someone, quietly keeping an eye on a neighbour, or simply planning ahead for peace of mind, this is information you may one day be very glad you have.
Jenny’s particular expertise is in dementia care and supporting those who care for people living with dementia — a subject that touches many families, often when least expected.
And how fortunate are we? Age in Spain supports people across the whole country — and Jenny lives right here in our own town.
This is valuable, practical information that could make a real difference to you or someone you care about.
Make a note now — 17th March. Members only. Not to be missed.
February didn’t hang about… and neither did we!
Boys’ Night Out saw 10 brave knights squeeze (and we mean squeeze!) around the very snug round table at Hong Kong for a feast fit for royalty. Delicious Chinese food, big laughs, and not an inch to spare — we genuinely couldn’t have fitted one more chair in. If you fancy claiming a seat next time, let David Pryor know early… this table fills fast!
Christine’s first Tuesday Lunch Club got off to a cracking start, with 16 members enjoying the warm welcome at Namaste. Great food, easy conversation and one of those afternoons where no one seems in any rush to leave — perfect.
La Cena Del Mes marked Joanne Rafe’s debut as a Social Team organiser — and what a debut! Seventeen of us discovered Bohemia (new to Companions and now firmly on our “we’ll be back” list). Fabulous food, fantastic company and plenty of laughter. Huge thanks to Joanne, welcome on board — what a gem of a night!
Tuesday Lunch at Beach Boys drew 19 members and, true to form, didn’t disappoint. Excellent food, great atmosphere and the usual high standard we’ve come to expect. Some traditions are popular for a reason!
Walk in the Woods with Wendy took Martin and me over to Alfaz del Pi and on towards La Nucia. The walk was lovely and some fantastic views.
Also new for 2026 the Sunday Lunch Club rounded off another busy month in style, with nineteen companions getting together on St David's Day to enjoy the food and the fantastic view at Champions Bar in Albir. I think this is going to be a popular monthly event for Companions.
If you missed out this time, you were missed — but don’t let the next one pass you by. There’s always a warm welcome, a seat at the table (book early!), and a brilliant group of friends ready to share good times.
Here’s to another month of memories in the making... π₯
